About Me

My name is Abbe Hoggan. What else do you need to know about me? Allow me to answer that question in convenient
list form. (I don't like having my picture taken. Enjoy this lovely photo of my favorite flowers instead.)
- I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the savior of the world. I hope that belief shows in how I live every day.
- I’ve been married for twenty-nine
years to the funniest, kindest, smartest, most supportive man in the world. I’m
sure your spouse is great, but mine is better. Sorry.
- We have five silly, smart, weird,
infuriating, adorable, good-hearted, ridiculous children, two daughters-in-law
who must wonder what they’ve gotten themselves into, and a perfect grandson.
- I’m a student at Brigham Young
University – Idaho although I’ve never stepped foot on campus. I hope to
graduate by the end of 2020, assuming the Coronavirus doesn’t shut down
civilization before that.
- I read. I write. I have unreasonably
strong opinions about television.
- My favorite genre of books is
thrillers, but over a lifetime of reading, I’ve constructed a list of favorites
that includes sci-fi, fantasy, and romance as well.
- When it comes to television, I’m a
re-watcher. I could watch the same dozen TV shows on a loop for a long time. This
drives my husband crazy.
- My dream is to become a published
author of young adult thrillers. My favorite authors in that genre are Kara
Thomas, Amanda Panitch, Megan Miranda, and Karen McManus.
- I spend most of my life surrounded by
yarn. I love to crochet, especially blankets and shawls.
- I like lists with a nice round number
of items.
